  In 2004, 1,022 households served by electricity in 10 barangays only. Only 8 barangays were served for 12 hours of supply. The remaining 2 barangays were served for only 6 hours.

The only potable water systems in Culion are those installed by the Culion Sanitarium, the Palawan Integrated Area Development Program (PIADP) and the Culion Foundation, Inc. Water sources abound in the area such as those in Dinaydayan, Palumpong, Chinagkan, but these areas still have to be developed and tapped.

The Port of Culion is the mainstream of economy of the island. Vessels coming from Manila via Coron bring in cement, bottled cargoes and consumer goods. Outgoing are fish and fish preparations, to include general cargoes.
