The only potable water systems in Culion are those
installed by the Culion Sanitarium, the Palawan
Integrated Area Development Program (PIADP) and the
Culion Foundation, Inc. Water sources abound in the area
such as those in Dinaydayan, Palumpong, Chinagkan, but
these areas still have to be developed and tapped.
The Port of Culion is the mainstream of economy of the
island. Vessels coming from Manila via Coron bring in
cement, bottled cargoes and consumer goods. Outgoing are
fish and fish preparations, to include general cargoes.
